Orthèse de station assise pour le sujet atteint d'infirmité motrice cérébrale : de l'analyse factorielle au cahier des charges

For decades, sitting position molded braces have been made for patients with cerebral palsy and severe psychomotor impairment. The specifications of these braces condition the satisfaction of their beneficiaries. Many criteria have to be considered. Accurate assessments are conducted. Their synthesis should lead to prioritize the objectives. In this article we review the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health to provide landmarks in the process. It involves, around the beneficiary, the family, caregivers and different types of professionals. The implementation of adequate technical means will lead to realize an individual brace that meets the selected objectives.
