It describes the organisation of hospital pathways for flu and non-flu patients with, in particular, the necessary actions in terms of separation of care facilities, the triage of patients and the cancellation of non-urgent activities. It analyses the preconditions necessary for the efficient functioning of intensive care and the predictable limiting factors. It underlines the importance of training of medical and paramedical personnel. Finally, it tackles the specific problems of paediatric intensive care: organisation, capacity for admissions and training.
