ZusammenfassungDie Hüftarthroskopie hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren zur etablierten Methode im Therapiealgorithmus sportspezifischer Leistenschmerzen entwickelt. Insbesondere im Profifußball ergibt sich durch die Hüftbelastung im Wachstumsalter häufig eine Formstörung im Hüftgelenk mit nachfolgender Impingementsymptomatik und azetabulärer Knorpelschädigung. Durch ein rechtzeitiges Erkennen der femoroazetabulären Impingementpathologie und eine arthroskopische Offsetkorrektur und Therapie der Begleitpathologien lässt sich die Beschwerdesymptomatik adäquat behandeln. Eine uneingeschränkte Rückkehr zum Profifußball ist in den meisten Fällen bei intensiver Rehabilitation 4-6 Monate postoperativ möglich.
