Arthroskopische Chirurgie am Ellbogen und deren Grenzbereiche

Elbow arthroscopy is now being used more frequently although the procedure is technically demanding and is tainted with the risk of jeopardizing the nearby neurovascular structures. The advantages are clear visualization of the joint space and diminished postoperative pain and morbidity. The procedure is being performed for identification and removal of loose bodies and osteophytes and the treatment of osteochondritis dissecans. Soft tissue procedures are synovectomy in rheumatoid as well as in septic arthritis, capsular release, resection of posterolateral plicae and treatment of lateral epicondylitis.
