ZusammenfassungDie autologe Chondrozytenimplantation und Matrix-assistierte Chondrozytenimplantation sind heute anerkannte Operationsverfahren zur Knorpelreparation, sorgen jedoch aufgrund der hohen Kosten und des hohen Aufwands einer zweizeitigen Operation sowie einer teils fibroblastischen Regeneration für Diskussion. Die Entwicklung einer Technik bei der ein Knochenmarkkoagel als biologische autologe Matrix verwendet wird und durch das lokale Einbringen von Wachstumsfaktoren mit Hilfe einer so genannten In-situ-Gentherapie durch die eine Knorpelheilung initiiert wird, ermöglicht eine einzeitige Operation und erspart die hohen Ex-vivo-Kultivierungs- und Transportkosten sowie die Entwicklungs- und Herstellungskosten synthetischer Matrices.
