Hippocampal CARP over-expression solidifies consolidation of contextual fear memories

► We generated a novel transgenic mouse line with over-expression of CARP in the brain. ► We demonstrate high amounts of transgenic CARP mRNA in the hippocampus. ► We tested these mice in a Pavlovian fear conditioning paradigm. ► Hippocampal CARP over-expression increases freezing behavior during memory testing.
