Enfuvirtide – new clinical data of the management of HIV-infected patients

SummaryEnfuvirtide (FUZEON, T-20) is an antiretroviral drug which received marketing authorisation for the treatment of patients infected with HIV-1. The introduction of enfuvirtide represents an important advance in the treatment of therapy-experienced patients with HIV-1 infection. Studies of newer antiretrovirals provide further evidence of the efficacy of enfuvirtide in treatment-experienced patients.
