Vaccination contre la varicelle

The selected vaccination strategy consisted in vaccination of subjects of all ages at risk of severe varicella or at risk of transmission of the virus to such individuals. This analysis illustrates the difficulty of the vaccination decision-making process. It highlights the need for models allowing taking into account, beyond the individual benefit related to the protection of the vaccinated subjects, the long term consequences of vaccination on the epidemiology of the disease.
