About 10000 cardiac valve surgical replacements are performed every year in France. Rapid development of cardiac multidetector computed tomography (MDCT) requires a improved knowledge of these valve prosthesis. We present a pictorial review of most of the prosthetic devices and their normal aspect on MDCT. We describe the usual complications and consider how they can be detected with this technique.
