Invagination intestinale iléo-iléale secondaire à une tumeur stromale gastro-intestinale (GIST)

We report the case of a 42-year-old woman presenting a small bowel occlusion secondary to an ileo-ileal intussusception. The origin of the intussusception was a well-circumscribed intramural intestinal tumor. This tumor proved to be a gastro-intestinal stromal tumor (GIST) after pathologic analysis. The radiologic, macroscopic, microscopic and immunohistochimic characteristics of the tumor are described and commented.
