Dolichoectasie vertébro-basilaire : pathologie évolutive

Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasiais an uncommon but wellrecognized vascluar anomaly characterized by enlargement, tortuosity or elongation of distal arteries or basilararteries. The primary cause of this lesion is consired to be anacute disruption of the internal elastic lamina. An ectatic, elongated BA may produce symptoms by direct compression of cranial nerves or the brain stem, by obstructive hydrocepahlus, or by ischemia in vertebrobasilar territoty. The diagnosis of VBD has been simplified by neuroimaging investigations (cerebral CT scan, MRI and MRA). The authors report one case of evolving Vertebrobasilar dolichoectasia.
