Digital fundamental group and Euler characteristic of a connected sum of digital closed surfaces

Unlike the connected sum in classical topology, its digital version is shown to have some intrinsic feature. In this paper, we study both the digital fundamental group and the Euler characteristic of a connected sum of digital closed ki-surfaces, i∈{0,1}i∈{0,1}.
