L'entretien et l'examen clinique sont le plus souvent suffisants pour préciser la nature du dysfonctionnement de l'appareil manducateur. La prise en charge, non détaillée dans cet article, sera orientée vers des thérapeutiques réversibles faisant comme les orthèses occlusales, la rééducation et kinésithérapie maxilofaciale.

Pain and functional problems with the temporomandibular joint present a variety of clinical forms. Contrary to what has been described for many years, they do not correspond to a syndrome.
