Asian blepharoplasty

Asian blepharoplasty involves creation of a supratarsal crease that does not previously exist, also known as the “double eyelid” procedure. There are 3 major types of techniques: full-incision, partial-incision, and suture-based. Discussed in this work is the principal method that he uses in almost all cases, the full-incision method. Preoperative considerations are presented, including commentary on crease shape and height, with a focus on management of the aging Asian eyelid and a unique classification and strategy that the author has devised. The technique for the full-incision method is elaborated in detail, and postoperative complications are discussed. Epicanthoplasty modulation lies beyond the scope of this monograph.
