A Survey of Ocular Diseases in an Isolated Rural Haitian Community: A Retrospective Evaluation

Glaucoma was the most common cause for blindness. The most common cause of correctable vision loss was uncorrected refractive error followed by cataract. Providing constant eye care in this region will most likely decrease the incidence of correctable and permanent vision loss.
