Possible interaction between opioidergic and cholinergic systems of CA1 in cholestasis-induced amnesia in mice

► Cholestasis induced memory impairment 24 days after bile duct ligation (BDL). ► Intra-CA1 injection of mecamylamine and scopolamine decreased memory retrieval. ► Intra-CA1 injection of naloxone did not alter memory retrieval. ► Intra-CA1 injection of ineffective doses of all drugs restored BDL induced amnesia. ► Co-administration ineffective doses of drugs also reversed BDL induced amnesia.
