Pathway for interferon-gamma to promote the differentiation of cholinergic neurons in rat embryonic basal forebrain/septal nuclei

IFNγ cannot directly promote the differentiation of cholinergic neurons, but plays a role through activating glial cells (except astrocytes) to produce IFNγ like molecules.
