⺠Binaural beat rate discrimination is similar to that of SAM tones matched in modulation salience. ⺠Above 4 Hz, binaural beat (and SAM tone) rate discrimination is largely independent of base rate. ⺠Binaural beats have weak perceptual strength as gauged by the depth of matched-salience SAM tones. ⺠All listeners perceived binaural beats.
