Anti-oxidant activity of oranges after infection with the pathogen Penicillium digitatum or treatment with the biocontrol agent Pantoea agglomerans CPA-2

► The infection of P. digitatum on oranges produced H2O2 the first moments of the host recognition. ► The antagonist P. agglomerans CPA-2 induced a H2O2 accumulation from 72 h, which could be correlated with disease resistance. ► P. digitatum suppresses H2O2 production and SOD and CAT activities in orange in response to infection process. ► P. agglomerans CPA-2 maintained even triggered H2O2 production and the enzymatic activities 72 h after inoculation.
