Differential response of pea (Pisum sativum) to Orobanche crenata, Orobanche foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca

► Pea induce high levels of germination of seeds of Orobanche crenata, Orobanche foetida and Phelipanche aegyptiaca. ► Studied pea accessions were susceptible to O. crenata but resistant to O. foetida and P. aegyptiaca. ► This makes pea a promising candidate as trap crop for O. foetida and P. aegyptiaca seed bank demise in infested soils.
