► Jojoba oil upon pyrolysis produces fuel hydrocarbons and short chain fatty acids. ► Pyrolysis of triacylglyceride and jojoba oil yields similar liquid and gas products. ► Glycerol in triacylglyceride oils appears to be a source of higher-MW products. ► Jojoba oil is pyrolyzed at higher temperatures than triacylglyceride oils. ► Higher residence time of jojoba oil pyrolysis yields more GC-elutable products.
