Inventory of nutrients in the Bohai

► This paper reports the results of biogeochemical observations in the Bohai. ► Nutrient concentrations in both water column and pore waters were analyzed. ► Benthic nutrient exchanges were estimated by pore water profiles at 23 sediment cores. ► The benthic contribution was compared to the river and submarine groundwater input.
