Impact of dilution on the transport of poly(acrylic acid) supported magnetite nanoparticles in porous media

►Dilution decreased mobility of poly(acrylic acid) supported magnetite nanoparticles. ► Mass recovery decreased with decrease in input PAA-supported nanoparticle concentration. ► Time-dependent deposition of PAA-supported nanoparticles (blocking) hindered further deposition. ► Numerical model of nanoparticle transport and deposition in porous media is developed.
