Numerical modeling of long waves in shallow water using LRBF-DQ and hybrid DQ/LRBF-DQ

► We extend DQM to irregular geometry by proposing a mesh-free hybrid DQ/LRBF. ► We address the sensitivity of RBF-DQM and LRBF-DQ to shape parameter(s). ► We implement the proposed hybrid approach to an actual water body, Oresund strait. ► The proposed hybrid approach is much less sensitive to shape parameter(s). ► Implementation of the proposed method leads to good results for water depth.
