Standing wave solutions for generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equations with critical growth

We study the existence of standing wave solutions for generalized quasilinear Schrödinger equations involving critical Sobolev exponents. We use the variational methods to obtain a nonexistence theorem and two existence results.
