A class of Sierpinski carpets with overlaps

Based on a scheme by Lau and Ngai, a sufficient and necessary condition for an IFS of contractive similitudes to satisfy the open set condition is given. A class of Sierpinski carpets with parameters (λ1,λ2) is then investigated.
