Generalized solutions of parabolic initial value problems with discontinuous nonlinearities

We proved recently that parabolic initial value problems with discontinuous nonlinearities have no unique weak solution in general, but have a unique generalized solution in the sense of Colombeau. In this paper we study the relationship between generalized solutions and weak solutions.
