The “Camporeale wedge-top Basin” (NW Sicily; Italy) in the frame of the Late Miocene Sicilian Foreland Basin System; Inferences from the Upper Tortonian-Lower Messinian Terravecchia Formation

▶ A continental-to-shallow-marine wedge-top depozone developed since the Late Miocene. ▶ The Camporeale Basin is considered as the remnant of a wide wedge-top basin. ▶ An “outer wedge-top sequence” has been defined in the Camporeale Basin.
