Seismic anisotropy of the shallow crust in the Umbria-Marche (Italy) region

► We have analyzed seismic anisotropy in the crust of the Umbria-Marche region. ► We have inferred splitting times and fast symmetry axes at several stations. ► A correlation between the orientation of symmetry axes and fault strikes is found. ► A regime of separated fluid-filled crack systems can be hypothesized.
