A unidomain membrane prepared from liquid-crystalline poly(pyridinium 4-styrene sulfonate) for anhydrous proton conduction

A unidomain membrane was prepared by shearing liquid crystal poly(pyridinium 4-styrene sulfonate) in the smectic A phase. The uniformly aligned lamellar architecture enhanced anhydrous proton conduction of the protic salt membrane.246
