A novel lab-on-chip platform with integrated solid phase PCR and Supercritical Angle Fluorescence (SAF) microlens array for highly sensitive and multiplexed pathogen detection

We demonstrated that highly sensitive and multi-point detection could be achieved on chip using low-cost and portable optical components. The excellent light collection power of the SAF microlens array and the high specificity and multiplexing capability of the SP-PCR are a perfect combination for high-throughput detection in POC settings.193
