A low cost, printed-circuit-board-based aptasensor was developed for sensitive and selective detection of bisphenol A (BPA) in canned foods. The sensitivity, response time and ease of use of the sensor were greatly improved by integrating directional AC electrothermal (ACET) microflows with label-free capacitive sensing. The sensor achieved a limit of detection of 152.93 aM and response time of 20Â s. The final device was used for trace analysis of BPA at canned food samples and could successfully recover spiked BPA concentrations.268
