چکیده انگلیسی

A novel Brønsted acidic supported ionic liquid phase catalyst with pendant ferrocenyl group has been synthesized and investigated for the synthesis of homoallylic alcohols from aryl aldehydes and allyltrimethylsilane in THF-H2O as solvent. The key features of the catalyst include rapid reactions with high yields, excellent catalyst recyclability and total stability under open air conditions.

Brønsted acidic supported ionic liquid phase catalyst with pendant ferrocenyl group showed TON in the range of 3285–4333 and TOF in the range of 443–2888 h− 1 in the synthesis of homoallylic alcohols.Figure optionsDownload as PowerPoint slideResearch highlights
► Bronsted acidic “supported ionic liquid phase catalyst” with pendant ferrocenyl group was prepared by anion metathesis reaction of ionic liquid like unit grafted in the matrix of Merrifield resin.
► The catalyst exhibited excellent activity in the synthesis of homoallylic alcohols.
► The higher catalytic activity was related to the presence of ferrocene unit in the catalyst.
