Lipid raft-like liposomes used for targeted delivery of a chimeric entry-inhibitor peptide with anti-HIV-1 activity

Lipid raft-like liposomes decorated with the chimeric entry-inhibitor peptide facilitates the targeted delivery of the inhibitor to membrane subdomains where the process of entry of the HIV-1 virus into the cell takes place. Confocal laser scanning microscopy (CLSM) images demonstrate that the fluorescent chimeric peptide is found on the surface of HeLa cells expressing the Env protein of HIV-1.276
