Vaccination with self-adjuvanted protein nanoparticles provides protection against lethal influenza challenge

24 monomers of peptides with either the B-cell epitopes M2e and Helix C or flagellin co-assemble into a nanoparticle with predicted octahedral symmetry. Immunization with this nanoparticle protects mice against infection with a lethal dose of A/Puerto Rico/8/1934 influenza virus.215
