Job-search and foreign capital inflow - A two sector general equilibrium analysis

► We introduce capital as an input and international trade into Fields' (1989) job search model. ► Both fixed capital and mobile capital cases are considered. ► We study effects of search intensity and foreign capital inflows on unemployment and national welfare. ► An increase in search efficiency lowers the volume of urban unemployment in the mobile capital case. ► It also improves social welfare.
