On the median regression for SURE models with applications to 3-generation immigrants data in Sweden

► In this paper we propose a systemwise median regression method. ► We call it the Seemingly Unrelated Median Regression Equations (SUMRE). ► The SUMRE produces more efficient and robust results than the LAD or the OLS methods. ► This is confirmed analytically, by Monte Carlo simulations and an empirical study.
