Barro-Gordon revisited: Reputational equilibria with inferential expectations

► Extends Barro-Gordon model by endowing private agents with inferential expectations. ► With time as test statistic, enforceable range of equilibrium inflation rates shrinks. ► The higher the significance level α, the larger the enforceable range. ► The original Barro-Gordon model obtains as a special case when α=1.
