We conduct an updated retrospective evaluation of The International Review of Economics and Finance during 1992-2015. Over its 24Â years of publication, the journal continued to improve in terms of author diversity in geographic regions and research impact. We observe that the share of authors among Asia-Pacific academic institutions has noticeable increased in recent years. In addition, the journal added a number of special issues to draw the interest of scholars worldwide. Research quality, as indicated by the 2014 impact factor and citations among articles in Google Scholar, is on the rise and comparable to many core journals in finance and economics. Overall, the journal has a diverse authorship, and it has been a success for the last 24Â years. Based on its momentum in recent years, we anticipate IREF moving to a leading journal in the near future.
