► Growth accounting exercises are performed for the 12 Asian economies for 1970-2007. ► The results support evidence of growing contribution of TFP in the post-2000 period. ► Models of TFP growth are estimated using a comprehensive country-level panel data. ► The estimates are used to produce long-term projection of TFP growth for 2010-2030.
