Photo-Fenton degradation of methyl orange using H3PW12O40 supported Fe-bentonite catalyst
چکیده انگلیسی

H3PW12O40 supported Fe-bentonite (HPW-Fe-Bent) was prepared by an impregnation method. Catalyst characterization showed H3PW12O40 and iron species were successfully immobilized on HPW-Fe-Bent. Photo-Fenton degradation of methyl orange (MO) by HPW-Fe-Bent as heterogeneous catalyst was studied. The impacts of various operating parameters on degradation ratio were analyzed. The results showed HPW-Fe-Bent used as heterogeneous catalyst in photo-Fenton process had a wide applicable range of pH and temperature. Moreover, HPW-Fe-Bent had a long-term stability for use, and retained almost all of its catalytic stability and activity after five recycling times. The possible mechanisms involving in photo-Fenton process were presented in paper.
