Completeness of primary intracranial tumour recording in the Scottish Cancer Registry 2011-2012

- Overall primary intracranial tumour (ICT) case ascertainment in Scotland was 96.3%.
- Outdated estimations of completeness of ascertainment of ICT should be revised with these more contemporary estimates.
- Recording of benign pituitary tumours, predominantly microadenomas, is a weakness of the current cancer registration system.
