Cyanosilylation of aldehydes catalyzed by arylhydrazone di- and triorganotin(IV) complexes

Di- and triorganotin(IV) complexes with arylhydrazones of active methylene compounds act as homogeneous catalysts for the cyanosilylation of aldehydes with trimethylsilyl cyanide leading to cyanohydrin trimethylsilyl ethers in methanol at room temperature.259
