From diferrocenyl-cyclopropenone to diferrocenyl-cyclopropenylium cations and triferrocenylpropenones: An electrochemical study

The synthesis of cyclopropenylium cations and E-/Z-1,2,3-triferrocenylpropenones from 2,3-diferrocenylcyclopropenone is described. The molecular structures in the solid state and the (spectro)electrochemical behavior of these compounds is discussed.183
