The reoxidation of a multicomponent molybdate catalyst is studied by thermal analysis method along with X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS). It is found that the reoxidation of the catalyst is mainly attributed to the replenishment of lattice oxygen combined with Mo. Further, the intrinsic kinetic model of this reaction is obtained by Kissinger–Akahira–Sunose isoconversional and master-plot method. The activation energy and pre-exponential factor (lnA) are 140.01 ± 11.10 kJ mol−1 and 21.527 ± 0.076 min−1, respectively. The kinetic model is best expressed by Avrami–Erofeyev equation, i.e., g(α) = [−ln(1 − α)]1/(0.922 ± 0.026), suggesting a nucleation and growth mechanism.
