Structural and quantitative analysis of Equisetum alkaloids

Eight alkaloids were detected in Equisetum palustre samples. Besides the known palustrine and N5-formylpalustrine, three alkaloids, palustridiene, N5-acetylpalustrine, N5-formylpalustridiene were structurally elucidated.86
