Chemical constituents of Abies nukiangensis

Seven previously unreported compounds were isolated from Abies nukiangensis together with 37 known ones. The absolute configurations of 1 and 8 were established by the Cu-Kα X-ray crystallography. Interestingly, 1 is the first example of the nortriterpene bearing a 8(14→13)abeo-17,13-friedo moiety. Compounds 3 and 8-10 showed potent anti-hepatitis C virus effects with IC50 values of 3.73, 2.67, 1.33 and 2.25 μM, respectively.263
