Highly selective antiplasmodial naphthylisoquinoline alkaloids from Ancistrocladus tectorius

► Naphthylisoquinoline alkaloids were isolated from the plant Ancistrocladus tectorius. ► Absolute stereostructures were assigned by chemical, NMR, MS, and CD methods. ► Three of the compounds show excellent - and specific - antiplasmodial activities.
