Triterpenoid saponins from the aerial parts of Solidago virgaurea alpestris with inhibiting activity of Candida albicans yeast-hyphal conversion

► Six triterpene saponins were isolated from S. virgaurea alpestris. ► Three saponins were isolated for the first time. ► Four saponins showed an inhibition of C. albicans yeast-hyphal conversion. ► This activity prevent from C. albicans virulence while preserving the oral biofilm.
