Phytochemical profile of aerial parts and roots of Wachendorfia thyrsiflora L. studied by LC-DAD-SPE-NMR

► Twelve new phenylphenalenone-type compounds were identified from Wachendorfia thyrsiflora. ► Phenylbenzoisoquinolinone alkaloids were detected in this plant for the first time. ► Different metabolite profiles were found in the aerial plant parts and the roots. ► LC-DAD-SPE-NMR is useful to study the phytochemical profile of both plant parts.
